The Boston Roamer 1101-10TP takes advantage of Teradici PCoIP™ technology, allowing users to extend the tether of the machine of their choice to their desktop - worldwide. The Roamer 1101-10TP features the latest Intel® Xeon® W processor with up to 18 cores / 36 threads and up to 256GB of DDR4 memory and an NVIDIA RTX™ 4000 GPU, all in a short-depth form factor.
Teradici’s PC-over-IP (PCoIP) technology delivers a secure, high-definition and highly responsive computing experience over TCP/IP. Using advanced display compression techniques to provide end users with remote access to virtual machines as a convenient alternative to deploying workstations to employees desks. From a user's perspective, there is no difference between working with a local computer loaded with software and an endpoint receiving a streamed pixel representation from a centralized virtual computer without the bulky and potentially noisy unit at the desk side.
By introducing a hypervisor such as vScaler (Linux) or VMWare vSphere (ESX), we can securely deliver the Roamer’s high-performance desktop capabilities to knowledge workers and power users requiring even the most resource-intensive applications but with a greater density and overall price per user session.
