Description updated below The Supermicro A+ Server AS-2124BT-HTR (BigTwin™) consists of four hot-pluggable nodes in a 2U form factor for high density computing. The server features New 2nd Gen AMD EPYC™ Processors which are the first x86 server processors featuring 7nm hybrid-multi-die design and PCIe® Gen4.

This server is optimised for the following applications and workloads:

Supermicro say: "For TPC-DS benchmarks, a new world record was achieved with the H12 BigTwin™ that established the highest performance and lowest performance per dollar for a 10TB database with 64% higher QphDS throughput (Composite Query per Hour Metric) and $0.05 savings per QphDS over the previous world record holders."

The AMD EPYC™ Family continues to offer the most I/O (1) and memory bandwidth in its class (2).
